Training Philosophies!

Post by Ash on Tue Sep 21, 2010 3:15 am

What are your Training Philosophies? How would you treat you Pokemon? Do just care of how they look or how strong they are?

My Training Philosophy is: A balance of love and hard work is needed to overcome adversity. I treat my Pokémon as partners and friends while bringing out their best with EV & moveset building. Thats just me ;P Feel free to copy and paste this into your sig if you feel the same way about Pokemon.

lol if only this was facebook so i could like ducky's comment XD

Is this thread about posting your style of training or to copy and paste what you posted into one's sig? I'm unsure so I'm just gonna go ahead and do it anyway... XD

My Training Philosophy is:
I train my pokemon with hard work, dedication, motivation and determination. Every day consists of tons of working out and training. My pokemon and I have our eyes on the prize. We never give up. Although I do put love and care into consideration as well. If a pokemon is too weak to keep on training, I make sure they get to the pokemon center right away. I make sure they take a break and get plenty of rest... and that is when I move on to training the next pokemon. I treat all of my pokemon fairly, equally, and with the respect they deserve. My pokemon aren't just pocket-sized soldiers to me, they are my best friends.

I give all of my pokemon even, hard training. My goal is to train hard, preventing fainting during battle and to make all of my pokemon hard working and strong. But I don't work them to death. I carry plenty of potions, full restores and other aids into the field for any emergency!

Training Philosophie:

Pokemon that I like get trained to the highest level i can get them to without eventually getting bored. I like giving pokemon moves that go with their stats (like if they're good at attack, i'll give them more attack moves) and I like to give them moves that help them beat the type that would beat them. I don't give a poop about EV training, and prefer to train the pokemon against other pokemon that are weak against them so their level goes up faster. In the end, my pokemon are not power houses, but I love their movesets and if they are a type of pokemon that is one of my favorites, I love them for ever + ever + ever and so on. And I never trade them away, and I randomly bring them everywhere with me even if they prove useless at the time or for the battles about to be.. battled. =]

im not much of a trainer. my time is more often wasted breeding or trying to unlock everything in the game.

as such, i most often only catch those pokemon that i favor/think look interesting. they are raised with loving care, trained on random pokemon, and given movesets that play to their types (give STAB or counter a weakness)
i only do this once. giving me a strong field team that goes with me everywhere and enables me to get through all obstacles.
